Various factions of the Present Royal Family live in several of the buildings. There's a daily changing of the guard at noon where the soldiers march from Rosenberg Barracks to Amalienborg, and you get to go round one of the buildings afterwards.

A nice spot by the sea to finish our walking tour. You can see all the four buildings that make up the palace from the centre and also get a great view of the Marble Church in one direction and the sea in the other...More

I didn't know what time is the change of guards, but while we're there at 4:00 pm we see the guards marching. Is a time of changing guards The square is splendid to stroll around. Certainly, a place not to miss in Copenhagen

We toured the palace and stuck around for the changing of the guard at noon. Unfortunately it was impossible for me to see with the number of people.

Excellent square, imposing with solders and a large statue, the palace ( if you could even call it a palace ) is average at best and I'm being generous there.

Definitely go into the palace if you have the time to. There's a lot of information and rooms to see that you can't see at other locations. It also will give you a better explanation of the palace itself.

This is one of several wonderful palaces in and near Copenhagen. Impressive interiors, I was disappointed that some rooms were not open especially the main staircase. But as part of a 4-building complex, it is a must-see and also close to the Marble Church. THe...More

Visited the home of the royal family. Quiet a nice complex. Wish I lived here but wasn’t able to take a look inside. Maybe next time....

as picturesque canals and a modern harbor. The inner
city is home to the Royal Danish Theatre, which
consists of three buildings, two of which are new and
