This route became famous in Roman Empire time and was called ‘Via Egnatia’. Where part of ancient bridges and roads can be still visited among the breathtaking nature and rich heritage form past millennials.<br>Important Places to be Visited: Tirana, Elbasan, Struge, Ohrid, Bitola, Thessaloniki, Kavala, Alexandroupoli, Tekirdağ, Istanbul, Edirne, Plovdiv, Sofia, Skopje, Prizren, Kukes, and Rubik.

within easy reach of Alexandroupoli in an area of hills and trees. The walks through the forest are beautiful. In spring there are 26 species of orchid. In Autumn there were the smells and sounds of the forest. The vulture feeding station is best in the early morning but at 10am we saw 3 species of vulture here.

We visited the forest in August 2019. The Dadia Information Centre located in village Dadia (and not in Soufli as depicted in Google Maps) provides useful information for the visit so you should give them a call prior to visiting. Unfortunately, due to strong winds and risk of wildfires when it's hot, we were not allowed to drive, walk or mountainbike in the forrest. Great opportunity to observe vultures but one should visit the observation base pretty early (at around 8.00)

The forest is very nice for hiking. It has locations for birds spotting (unfortunately we didn't spot any as didn't have too much time to spend). Also tortoises roam the park. We liked the hiking trails which are marked through the forest.

You have to spent time there, as it is a very nice experience, especially for children. The video must be seen in order to have a spherical view of the hard work of all people there. They really love their work and the nature and work for this, in this area of Greece/Europe. YOu have to also choose the sort trip with small van. It is a really in nature experience for all ages.
