We hired a car and went up to visit the monastery. Its beautiful and they have a little museum that you can visit for 2 euros. The little cafe is stunning and they have a little cafe for a cool drink.

Worth visiting to hear about the history of Skiathos and the Greek flag. V.ery peaceful and beautiful. On a hot day worth getting the bus as the walk is quite long.

Very pretty and interesting monastery and museum. The monks are still working there, producing olive oil products and other items.

We had a pleasant visit to the monastery on a very hot day there are welcoming areas of shade to sit in and a lovely cafe/taverna a little way up a path to take a break and use the facilities.
