We were eager to see the archeological displays in this historic building but were disappointed by the labelling (in English, thank you, but inadequate) and the faded photographs of the digs and sites. Surely it would not cost much to upgrade labels and improve interpretation...More

Some interesting exhibits rather poorly displayed. Probably enough terracotta pots to last a lifetime. You walk from room to room under the watchful eyes of the staff, who follow you. Quite dusty.

The museum is situated between Kolokotronis and Agio Basileiou Squares Behind the Alex Hotel. A beautiful, unusual museum housed in a building that once was a hospital. The many rooms and secluded areas mean that the guides need to follow you closely but the inconvenience...More
