Just a few meters off St Basil Square, you will find this small War Museum of Tripoli. It is a must visit for anyone vaguely interested in conflicts of the past.

We visited the museum on March with my daughter. The price for the entrance was only 1 euro and a soldier had the kidness to guide us to the exhibition. We learn a lot about the Greek Revolution and its heroe general Kolokotronis.

If you stay in Tripoli, take time to visit the war museum. It is in the city centre and is a perfect illustration of the central role a Tripoli played during the war of independence. The photographic evidence about WW2 is particularly moving
