It ie a wonderful experience both to walk and to dive in Fonias Gorge. The deep water is refreshing and the view is fascinating. Nearby, there is an nice cafe restaurant. Note that you will need comfortable hiking shoes.

The river is marvelous with great views and great places to swim. You should also visit Fonias Springs which is on top of that river and you could really enjoy your live. A must see!!

Beautiful walk along the river. Heavy rain damaged the island a lot 2 weeks ago, I suppose it's "stonier" than ever! It was difficult to find the track, we walked along the left bank, and crossed when we started climbing. A " must do"!

The water falls are fascinating. Not only the cascade and ponds, but the whole surrounding with 500 years old trees and typical shrub is a must-see. During our visit the weather was cool but we still immersed ourselves into the cold water. It was revitalising....More

It is difficult to find that waterfall and it is a little bit hard to reach. But it worths to try. You just leave your card 2 - 3 km away from this waterfall. And be ready to walk on the pathways but this place...More

Wild, beautiful, interesting. The path takes you along Fonias river, surrounded by pine and birch trees. It is shady and you don't have to walk in the sun. But you need trekking shoes and also bring water and food, since you will spend 4-5 hours...More

A nice 2.5 hours trekking route, mountain claimbing and natural pools bathing. 3 stages with 3 difficult rates, starting with a nice walk about 40mins, another more difficult 20 mins, and the last 40-50 mins the most complicated part (proper shoes and trekking stiks recomanded)....More

Amazing walk in 3 phases with increasing difficulty. Phase one is 30min easy walk along the river to the Fonias falls. To see them go up the hill. Then you walk up for 10 min to a crossroads. If you follow the path to 2B...More
