I visited this place 2013. This is a interesting collection of items and is a private run museum. It is a charming place and worth a visit. The building itself is amazing.

In fact, a real "maritime" museum, founded and runned by a private foundation, little but nice. Some ship models and paintings are there.

Nice to be able to see this museum as you explore the town of Chios. It does give you a flavor of the long maritime history of the area. The model ships are interesting.

This is a good place to visit. There are many interesting artefacts. The man who showed us around was very enthusiastic and made the experience better. We all had a good time and the museum is very nice.

Key in the door, no opening times listed anywhere, heard somebody inside but after repeated knocking, would not open the door. Give it a miss-obviously not interested in visitors nor any clue how to run a museum!
