This is an open air mosaic. A must visit when in Kavala. The inset gold in the mosaic bits make it very luminous. A fine example of Byzantine art.

We all know the story. Paul has a dream that a man from Macedonia asks him to come and visit. Paul comes by boat and lands in Kavala and the mosaics celebrate the story. It is nicely done!

On the outside wall of a church since 1923 that started as a mosque in 1520 is something to see. A classic Byzantine mosaic it illuminates St Paul's journey in the area

The first place where Apostle Paul stepped on the ground of Europe is in Kavala. There was built a Monument. Nice and interesting place!

This is near the port of Kavala. It is a very nice mosaic about Apostle Paul, right in front of a church. Worth going and taking a look.
