The most well organised and accessible beach of Lefkada with msny tavernas and parking facilities. The price per umbrella and two sunbeds is 20€ including private safe box and 1.5 litre cold water.

Seaside Beauty

Lefkada is such a beautiful semi-island. And Kalamitsi is one of its most gorgeous beaches. With easy access I should ad. Which is not the case for every beach in Lefkada.

Some Facts rather than Opinion
Sep 2019
Who knows which is the best beach on Lafkada, so here are some facts to help you.

The road down is not for larger cars and certainly not for camper vans. Parking is on either the narrow road (and causes issues) or is 5 Euros in one of the 2 car parks.

There is food and drinks available, certainly in early September.

Lots of loungers and umbrellas to hire at 10 Euros a pair of 2 loungers and an umbrella.

Due to the rocks, the water is milky blue, lovely to swim in with good wave action due to the undertaker rocks, not good for snorkelling.

Extemely dangerous road, but if you manage to continue til the end of the road, the beach is magnificent, very private, but then again it was May and probably it is a bit early too judge ?

Highly recommend for the adventurous!!

Kalamitsi Beach?.
Sep 2018 • Solo
Now being a visitor ("Grockle" from where I come from) to Lefkada for many a year am I assuming there is actually a Kalamitsi Beach, from what I see on a lot of photos on Trip Advisor they are mostly of Kavaliklefta, I`m aware Megali Petra is to the South of Kavaliklefta and when you take the right fork on the road to Kalamitsi Beach there is Avali Beach, Gaidaros Beach and a couple of others before you hit Kathisma or is the whole beach just generally named after the village on the hill?. Anyway I digress, I ended up on the beach just after the tarmac runs out, along with fishing kit and snorkeling gear, spent some great afternoons here late August in the Azure warm blue water just chilling out by myself away from my noisy resort, the drive to the beach is OK so long as you take your time and realize there are actually other drivers on the road too. :-)

Incredible blue water
Aug 2018 • Family
It's a fantastic beach, with the most incredible blue water, more beautiful then Porto Katsiki in my opinion. The road to this beach is narrow and a little bumpy but is not a problem get there with any kind of car. There's a parking place 5 E from 9.30 untill 19.30, after that they are closing the gates! They have olso a free shower, sunbeds and a small taverna. In the left part of the beach behind some rocks it's Megali Petra beach which is less crowded.

Loved swimming between the boulders!
Jul 2018
The drive down to this beach is very steep and the road narrow--definitely recommend a small car. However it is worth it--a small beach area with boulders in front or if the tide is right you can get around to a lovely long stretch of beach. I found the beach not too crowded and loved swimming around the boulders--reminded me of Boulders Beach in Cape Town. A small cafe and toilets and a very basic shower are available just to make this more comfortable. We went a second time and the sea was quite rough which made getting into the water difficult because of the breaking waves-so perhaps avoid this beach if the tide is high or the sea rough.

The beach is good, but...
Jul 2018 • Couples
This beach is one of the best of Lefkada. It is located about 10 km south of Agios Nikitas. The road from the village Kalamitsi to the beach is very bad. It is narrow, in several places there are large holes and many curves. But it pays off. There are 3 car parks and is charged 5 euros per day. There is a restaurant in front of the beach.
The beach is with several sunbeds. I did not ask how much they charge it because I was lying on the sand. There is about 10 sunbeds. There are small pebbles outside and in the water. There are large rocks that give an even more beautiful face on the beach. The water is turquoise blue and clean. Sometimes there are waves, but not often. There is no big crowd.
