This large beach and its beautiful blue waters was in my opinion the best place in Kefalonia. Although the water is quite wavy at times, one can enjoy the beach pretty well. Also, the sights from above are spectacular.

This is the most famous beach in Kefalonia. It features in all the advertising for the island. It is truly stunning. However, there is a downside to this beach. At times it does have a dangerous rip tide/current that can sweep you out to sea....More

My family and I visited the beach today. We were so excited to go there since all the reviews we read say it’s worth it. When we arrived there we were very disappointed. The water was blue but dirty, no sun beds or bars. That...More

Visited today. We arrived at 8:30 and we had the place to ourselves. The beach is pebbly as is the entry / exit to the sea so it is quite hard and difficult to walk on in bare feet. Sea shoes are a must. The...More

We spent a week as there is lots to do and see. The inland caves and lakes are a must, and the variety of beaches meant we had a different type of sand/pebbles etc each day.

I'd go for assos. Prettiest place on the island, although may be pricey?
