This clock was built in dedication to an Ottoman sultan’s jubilee.You can still see the Ottoman imperial insignia on it. However from a sight vale perspective it’s not something really fascinating .

A walk in the center of Ioannina will give an idea about how the people live in this town . The city has a university thus you meet a lot of young people that give a live tone in town .

It is a simple clock tower from the time of the Turkish occupation. It was a gift to the local ruler for his 30th coronation. It is a nice piece in the park that displays various monuments to the Greek people. Also a good meeting...More

The clock tower may be iconic but it is clearly nothing special. You would not come to Ioannina just to see it and if you missed it you would not have missed much.

I loved wathing the clock at night. It was so beautiful and charming. The lights on the clock were so nice.

Certainly an unusual piece of local culture, quite unique in its feature. It accompanies local life since it is located in the centre of downtown and it stands relatively high.
