Totally peaceful spot, shame the Chapel was closed but it is a beautiful building, tough drive up there, quite steep in places but worth it

Chapel is closed but the view makes it worth the trip. The last mile on the road is a bit risky in high winds on a moped. Peaceful spot.

The place is worth a visit just to admire the beautiful view of the island from high above. The chapel was closed so we couldn't visit it, but the view is compelling!

It is worth it to plan a short visit to the highest location on the island. It offers great panoramic view of the island and the surrounding area of the Aegean Sea. The chapel offers the great photo opportunities as well. You need a car or motorbike to get there.

Incredible panorama from Patmos' highest spot. On a clear day you can see not only the neighboring islands but even some of the cyclades islands. The chapel does not seem to be accessible.

The chapel is at the highest altitude of Patmos island. The view is stunning and you can enjoy beautiful sunset scene. Just take a jacket with you because it can be windy and cold.

Amazing view from this church, that can be reached by scooter, car or feet. Always remember that you're visiting a sacred place. So, even if it's not important for you, maybe it's important for the locals.

You can drive your car to this place but I would not go there by bike or motorbike because the 1km final road is extremely steep and narrow. But just the view is extremely rewarding all the same. It makes you wander away on silence...

From the mountain of Profitis Ilias, you will get a view to Khora in one direction, Petra in another and the bay of Stavros with Diakofti beach in a third. You can also look down to the beautiful convent of the Annunciation or Evangelismos nunnery, worth a visit on its own.
At sunset you will have a great view over Ikaria island.
