A little but impactful museum gives you a good understanding of the history of Kos.

You can buy entry for €6 or a joint ticket covering the museum, the casa romana and the askleption for £15 which is a good deal if visiting all three

Visited today, 6 euro entry fee. It is not closed as Trip Advisor says!! It’s only small but has some amazingly complete statues and a beautiful large mosaic. Well worth popping in for a look if you like a bit of history. Definitely open!!! I will add a few photos to show this!!!!

If your into history then this place is very very good indeed, you can literally go nose to nose with faces from thousands of years ago !
I was awestruck, my wife who hates history in all forms and would rather be in a bar sipping a cocktail also enjoyed it and that is probably the best compliment I can give !!

It is small but it’s very unusual for so much of a museum to be open and not behind glass !
Definitely worth an hour and a few euros!

Limited range of exhibits over two floors.
Felt over-warm, the a/c seemingly unable to cope.
Only €6 entry, though, so not outrageous.

Being in Kos, we called in. Lots old ancient history to see. Not a bad way to spend an hour or two. Well located to other landmarks & restaurants.

This small museum is full of great works, notably the big mosaic on the floor at the entrance. There's a fine statue of a drunken Dionysys. Lots of locally-found sculpture.

This is certainly worth a visit. We enjoyed an hour looking at the museum pieces. Beautiful statues and some impressive pottery from the history of Kos. The only negative comment had to do with the pervasive smell of cigarettes throughout the museum, more noticeable on the second floor.

Well worth an hour or more to wander through the museum. Some extremely important large scale sculptures. Interesting collections of bronze and wood material. Together with some fine examples in ivory - miniatures over 2000 years old.

The museum is just downtown of Kos Town nearby of the town hall of Kos! The exhibits wich you can see inside was been excavated from the many archeological sites of the island, the island was inhabited since the ancient times, so nearby of the museum you can also see the ancient agora! A visit in an archeological museum is always a great experience, so you don't have to miss it! Enjoy!
