The location is a bit secluded, but well worth the ride. The beach is pebble stones turning to smaller stones and sand as you walk up from water. The water is crystal clear, and since the beach is behind mountains the Meltemi wind doesn't effect...More

We have visited many beaches in Greece but there is nothing like Apella. It is not easily accessible yet the effort is very rewarding at the end. The route from Pigadia is magical through the trees. One can see the beach from the mountain as...More

Was in Karpathos last september. You can reach most of the beaches by car, and Apella is by far the best one (by boat the best is Xas beach - Vasilis paradise. Not to be missed) Here you'll find some row of umbrellas and sunbeds,...More

We visited a few beaches on the island and this one was definitely our favorite! The water is crystal clear, the beach is very neat and clean, and the water is super clean! Very nice location between the mountain with not so much wind. Strongly...More

The driving to the beach is a little bit tricky on the way down, but as such there is a beautiful view from the top of the mountain, beach itselve is nice with pebbles and clear waters but Karpathos has certainly better beaches than Apella.

The beach is well known and very crowded. Three boats unload additional visitors per day. Of course you should visit it but one time is enough.

This beach is the most famous beach in Karpathos.. the water is amazing, blue turquoise. If you don't manage to get there, it's not a big deal because a lot of beaches in Karpathos are just as beautiful..

We stayed just outside Karpatos town. I think it was counted as being in Karpathos town but the hotel wasn't like 5 minutes walk from the center. I would stay close to Karpatos town unless you really like rural settings... More
