I have given 5 stars for the harbour but one start for the pushy Kamaki pulling you into tavernas, shame as the setting is gorgeous and this has the opposite effect on you and I never stop for food prefer to take in the atmosphere and...More

Lovely Venetian harbour, very pleasant to walk around, especially on a sunny day in early November. Some of the restaurants pester you to eat or drink, but go to Knossos Taverna, no pestering and great food at a very reasonable price.... family owned...

We visited Rethymnon and spent a pleasant half day here around the harbour and the old town. It is very picturesque and there are amazing narrow streets leading back from the harbour towards the Venetian fortress.

This is a beautiful part of Crete, plenty to see and do with an extensive range of bars and restaurants in the area.

Visit the Harbour, but the restaurants are pushing to hard and you get a better value elsewhere. Difficult to walk in peace.

The harbour is fairly small with a mass of restaurants on two sides. It's quite attractive and is worth a look if you've been in the old town

The Venetian harbour of Rethymnon is another must of the city. It is tiny and plenty of restaurants without being crowded at least in October.
