Picked up from our hotel and driven to a secret cove on the south side of Crete. 2 experienced divers and a 12 year old on her first “Discover Scuba” session.
We were all well looked after and allocated a dive leader for the certified and an instructor for the DSD pupil. After a briefing we got out gear brought to us while we sat on the jetty, all good quality stuff. It starts as a shore dive so easy in and out. It shelves nicely so all can get used to the change in depth. Half way round we swam over the ridge and into the open sea where it became more of a wall dive.
It’s a little marine reserve so there’s more to see than any of us expected. Visibility was good out to 20m Heading back along the other side of the cove we met a few of the “tame” local fish including “Maurice”
We both enjoyed it and my daughter loved the experience ( no doubt that will cost us a PADI course) The people were all professional and very friendly. I would recommend it as a great way to spend a day doing something you love or trying something new. The one on one instructor attention helped us feel safe handing over our precious child. Theo and Steven get a special mention. Honestly couldn’t have been better. Even had a little award ceremony prior to dropping us back at our hotel.

Super small bay, rocks, cliffs and deep blue water perfect place to dive, I liked Mega. From the room to the diving school just a few steps away.
The diving school is great, the instructors are more available in language. After a round of introductions, guests are suitably assigned. I only booked two dives and was assigned to instructor Konstantin G. super instructor. The dives were mega horny and versatile several entry points, gave plenty to see fish, octopuses, small crabs, moray eels. The Advanced Open Water Diver course was super experience, ingeniously explained by Konstantin G. objectively clearly and clearly could implement that immediately and felt very safe and relaxed would immediately recommend.
Now have a super experienced contact person Instructor by my side .
Super Great Team Mega Diving School
Many thanks to the team

Dear Kalypso team,
We were very impressed by your friendly manner, the safe and relaxed atmosphere and above all by your professionalism.
The bay itself is tempting and inspires diving, but respect for depth is still a must. What happens afterwards... is made a great experience by you, in complete safety!
After we arrived, we filled out a health check questionnaire, then went through an introduction round where we got to know the team and the guests who were diving together that day. This was followed by an introduction in small groups depending on the language. The schedule is drawn up during this time and everyone gets their instructor and 1:1 companion. Everything has been thought of down to the smallest detail so that everyone from young to old can experience the most wonderful thing, depending on their experience or fitness.
My 13-year-old son was introduced to this wonderful world by diving instructor Konstantin. SPECIAL THANKS. His calmness and professionalism made us feel not only safe, but incredibly enthusiastic. So much so that we went back to the depths in two days. My son is hooked on diving for life and I am hooked on all the time we were able to spend in Kalypso.
We wish you all the best and for those who would like to try diving: just do it!

First of all, a test dive with the diving instructor in the hotel pool... It was very cool. Then we booked, picked up and drove to a bay that is really worth seeing. On the way, the driver and diving instructor showed us a few other things worth seeing and explained what there is to see on Crete.
When we got there, everything was explained very well in German. Afterwards, we got snorkeling equipment and bridged the time until it was time for our own 1:1 course. So if someone in the family doesn't want to dive but just snorkel, they can do that too. It's also worth just snorkeling. You see a lot without diving deep.
All in all, it was just great and there was a lot to see. The highlights were schools of fish, lionfish, octopuses, seahorses and much more.
Important information:
You should take the following with you: Cash to buy the dive and, if necessary, the photos taken there by the photographer (40-80 euros for all photos on a USB stick). If necessary, rent a sun lounger. Card payment is not possible. Cell phone reception is hardly possible there. You should bring towels. Water is included in the price, as drinking water is necessary. You may need swimming shoes if you want to go into the water without fins.

Great place to dive. The equipment is good. An excellent instructor, the cat discovered the beauty of Calypso Bay for me. I regretted that I didn’t dive with them right away, the first dive was a day earlier on the Bali beach, this is the opposite side from Calypso. So I immediately recommend visiting Calypso, the caves and fish and the breathtaking view of the underwater rocks.

Must do Family Experience worth every penny. We are a family of four with 2 boys (15YO & 18YO). Myself & my husband did something similar 19 years ago on honeymoon but I panicked once we headed into the sea (after intro in pool) & gave up. Not this time! I was determined to experience it all with the family and can honestly say I was totally at ease. The 45-min briefing was spot on & we headed into the water totally confident. They also dealt with all the buoyancy business for you underwater so all you have to do is enjoy and pop your ears and clear your goggles (if necessary) periodically. The instructors are great. I think going straight into the bay (rather than practising in a pool and building it all up) is far better. You just get on with it. The fact that the instruction is 1-to-1 in the water is the most impressive bit. It really was the most brilliant experience. Don’t hesitate. Just go for it. Highly recommend.

It was my first time diving and I was very nervous and excited. The instructions at the beginning were great and it was done in German. The 1:1 support in the water was the deciding factor for me in embarking on the adventure of diving.
Big praise to the whole team at the diving school. I felt good and safe, everyone was very friendly and understood that you have to be cautious about diving at the beginning.
I can only recommend everyone to take part in this experience!

We had a snorkeling and a diving experience at the Kalypso Dive Center. It was the best experience - my son (8yo) was diving for the first time, and I had a dive after a long break. The instructors were great - they made us both feel very safe, and the day was the best experience! The riff is very beautiful and rich in marine life. The organization was perfect, although it was a very busy day, everything went very smoothly! All in all, I would recommend this to everyone that wants to have a great diving experience in Crete. We will definitely be back!

I can write about this school:
1. Very nice trainers.
2. Great professionalism, which gave us a sense of security - in my opinion, this is the most important thing.
3. A great place to dive - during the dive, the instructor tried to show the best.
4. When I go back there, I would like to dive with them.

If you decide to book our snorkeling tour you first have a little fish identification lesson on the beach so you can recognise some of the fish you are likely to see, followed by a one hour guided tour of our private bay. After this you get to keep the equipment for the rest of the day so you can go back and explore any areas of interest.
The cost of the day is €45.00 each.
During the day you are welcome to use all the facilities at the Kalypso Hotel and these include: 3 swimming pools, restaurant, bar, snack bar, volley ball courts, showers and toilets. There is a small fee for the hire of sunbeds and parasols.
We do not have a credit card machine so we ask you to pay cash on the day.

Bonjour,
J'aimerais savoir le prix pour deux personnes pour la semaine du premier août n'ayant jamais fait de plongée. La durée du parcours aussi, également savoir s'il y a des restrictions sur la taille et le poids ? ou si tout le monde peut en faire.
D'avance merci
