Follow the path out of town past the naval museum and you find this beautiful beach, lovely golden sand and not very rocky. The walkways are being renewed at the moment, so a little disapointed at the noise in peak season. There are a number...More

Pros: + Close to the city o Sandy o It is cleaned once a day: for the end of the day trash bins are full, if someones cute dog make a huge dump in the sand in the morning after the cleaning, then it remains...More

Love the beach here, although small it's usually not over crowded. Usually buying a coffee gets you a beach chair and great location for a lot of awesome restaurants.

Close to great restaurants. Beach wont get wider than maybe 40 meters and is not very long. But there's sun beds for everyone. Nice sand, nice water, nice people.

Love this area of Chania. Nice little sandy beach. Long stretch of restaurants running the length of it, all decently priced. Even in the winter, the sea being right there, is a lovely dining experience. The tavern running out on the Marina is awesome near...More

Fine beach and user friendly sea. Beds and umbrellas are chargeable but are free if one frequents one of the local tavernas. Nice natural shady and quiet area at far end.

This is a nice small and clean beach. It is well maintained. Plenty of beach chairs with umbrella and food/drink service for €5.00 for 2 all day.

I would recommend visiting Nea Chora in the early evening if you feel like having a seafood meal right in the small fishing port next to the boats. The beach isn't the best in Chania but its definitely above average on a European scale.
