Great spot to check out if you are in Chania. It has all the usual terrible souvenirs for sale, but it also has authentic restaurants, local products, butchers, fish, vegetables, etc. Worth a walk through.

Built between 1909 and 1913. It was inspired on the covered market of Marseilles and known as the "Agora". Great place to walk around and not to miss when in Chania!

A local market for the locals selling their local produce. Interesting collection of vegetables, cheeses, oil wine honey on the lower road, the upper section is mainly clothes and household items

I am a big fan of local markets. to get a real flavour of the local foods particularly. This one is being slowly hijacked by stalls selling tourist tat I am afraid and was therefore very disappointing. That's not a criticism, just a function of...More

Standard market you expect in a holiday destination. Lots of food on offer including lots of cheese.

A beautiful building but not well taken care at all. Should have had a better selection of shops, since most sell souvenirs.
