Nice and small port, which you can not miss it, when you want to have some kind of cruise from Agios Nikolaos. Shallow water allow you to see it’s clear. Many restaurants, souvenir shop, museum, and also crossroad to the lake. Beautiful place. You can...More

A surprising little port with shops, cafe' and winding streets. It has a small lake with restaurants clinging to its sides offing wonderful scenic views of the port.

It is nice to walk around but it is not as nice as other cities in Crete (Rethymnon or Heraklio). One interesting thing is the presence of two harbours (or a harbour and a lagoon). Many shops and many places with Russian names.

This seems to be the heart of Agios Nikolaos as many tourists visit here drawn by the natural lake and all the cafes and restaurants that line the lake's edge. Little fishing boats are moured around there and gives that typical Greek feel. There is...More

It's a harbour, it's in the heart of Agios Nikolaos, it can be beautiful on a sunny day, or dreary on an off day, though they are few and far between. It is disappointing to see some rubbish at the bottom in certain parts,

The town of Agios Nikolaos is at the port. No walking required. Down the steps of the ship and you're there.
