I was impressed that the museum contained not only the usual Roman copies and Classical Greek art, but pieces from the Archaic and Hellenistic periods. Well worth your time.

The museum houses an impressive collection associated with ancient Delphi, including the earliest known notation of a melody, the famous Charioteer, golden treasures discovered beneath the Sacred Way, and fragments of reliefs from the Siphnian Treasury. The two Greek statues (kouros) dedicated to Apollo by...More

The Delphi Museum has an excellent collection of artifacts from the long history of this famous, sacred oracle of Apollo. The fragments of 2600-year old gold and ivory statues (male and female gods and a lifesize silver bull!) are rare and amazing in their detail....More

It’s simply fantastic. Small but with spectacular exhibits from many centuries bc. The bronze statue of the charioteer is out of this world in beauty and harmony. There is also a full body statue of Socrates. It’s simply unmissable
