This small museum is a wonderful place and really sets up the visit to the ruins. I would strongly suggest doing the museum first and then the ruins. Watch out for the feral cats at the cafe; my daughter is allergic so it was a...More

The museum building is physically attractive. Several of the larger exhibits (e.g., Kouroi of Delphi, Sphinx of Naxos, and Charioteer of Delphi) are quite famous, but the museum has many other treasures and is one of the most visited in Greece. There is a small...More

Go to the museum. It is small and rich of delicious history. If you visit the Apollo temple with a guide you will surely want to visit the museum to complete your learnings. /s

I wad happy to discover that the museum might have not been big but had a lot to offer, on a good setting. After the ruins its a must! Take your time too, because there are stories and things to see.

This museum protects and displays in context items recovered from the temples at Delphi. The rooms cover different periods, allowing the visitor to track the archaic to the Roman period. Many of the artifacts are reconstructed, allowing the visitor to gain a perspective of the...More

The musuem helps give a better understanding of the site. Good idea to visit here first. One ticket covers both. The flow of the site seems to logically place the musuem first.
