If you make art, dont sell anything, buy two old buildings and renovate them, you will have your own museum of art. If marble is your life. Interesting story! The museum is tiny but worth visiting. Nice wiews from the rooftop terrace. Also nice sculptures. Free entrance for teachers.

A visit to Athens will usually include the big ticket museums but this small focused museum is well worth a visit
Situated in Platia Agion Assomaton it is easily reached and is a permanent exhibition of the works of Alex Mylona the pioneer of the Greek modernist movement.
An added bonus at the moment is the retrospective exhibition of the works of Ira Waldron and this temporary exhibition (Until Sep 1) is carefully exhibited and includes some really fine examples of her later works

Except of Alex Mylonas art work, there are art works of recent Greek free movement period (early 1960 to 1977). Tasso’s collection is big and interesting.

Excellent view from the roof, wonderful exhibition for the 50 years of the Hellenic Republic. The permanent exhibition with works by Alex Mylonas is wonderful.
