Walk the narrow streets, eat at a outdoor cafe, immerse yourself in Greek life. What a time we had. Watch for pick pockets in busy tourist areas

It's a nice neighbourhood to visit. Some streets are quite peculiar. It's always full of tourists so it can get a bit noisy.

If you want to see some of the different types of neighborhoods of Athens, the Plaka neighborhood is one of them. It has colorful buildings, and appears to have its own style. There are restaurants and shops within this neighborhood.

Loved it. Watch out for young ladies giving you a rose and then hassling you for payment of 10 euro. Other than that great good quality local items can be purchased and well worth the climb to enjoy the local food. We went in both...More

We have visited Plaka on many occasions and love the atmosphere, shops and coffee bars. Nice sandals and dresses for sale plus the jewellery.

There is a mix of flea market, tourist kitsch, and designer shopping. Lots of slow walking so your feet will get tired. Take breaks to hydrate at one of the many cafes and plan to peruse jewelry. Haggle if your comfortable as there is always...More

This area is full of life in the evenings & lots of restaurants, bars , cafes. Many places have traditional live music. Daytime is ok but nightlife is wonderful. Tiny lanes & lots of steps so recommend comfortable footwear if walking long distances. Wonderful architecture...More

Hi, I visited in April and it was pretty quiet even around 10. And I think this will be the same in September. I did walk by Adrianou street and didn't find it noisy post 10 during my visit.

I agree with Tom J. Our hotel gave us a map and we easily found our way around. We were dropped at our hotel by our hired driver and went from there.
