You don't have to spend a lot of time here to appreciate the views. We had already spent the morning at the Acropolis and we had spent a lot of time reading the history of the sights there so we really just did a quick...More

This small park is just a short walk from the Acropolis metro stop, across from Hadrians arch. Be sure to get there early, as the park closes at three, with the last entry at 2:45. Even if you can’t enter the park, there are some...More

The magnitude of the temple would be breathtaking if it would survive 2000 years of history! Just standing next to the columns makes you feel so little and awed. With a direct view to the Acropolis hill, right in the city center, this is a...More

It’s only a small site with some columns remaining but there’s also Hadrian’s arch nearby and you can get a great shot of the temple with the acropolis in the background.

The thought of what this temple must have looked in its heyday is mind blowing! The size and impressiveness would have been staggering and it still is a sight to behold!

Loved stopping by this temple of Zeus. Standing next to the columns really gives a sense of how incredible it was to have built such a grand edifice. The guide we had gave a great overview of how faith, mythology, and culture intertwined in Greece.

Not far from the Parliament and National Gardens is the largest temple built in ancient Greek history. Only 15 of the over 100 columns still exist but you can still get an idea of the size of its magnitude. I went first thing in the...More

We didn't actually plan on visiting the temple, but once we passed the arch we were really impressed on the sight before us, so we decided on seeing the columns from up close. The entry fee is 3 euros in low season ( 1st Nov...More

The place is huge and the standing columns gives you the idea of the greatness and splendor of the formal glory of the monument.
