The skate park has quite the story that goes along with it.The park is a memorial park for a special boy that wanted a skate park along with his brother and many friends. His family and the community rallied together to raise monies over 2 yrs.The fundraisering journey and all the supporters are all mention on the signage.H4C ( harder4Carter ) 💜

This park is home to some of the communities playing fields including 3 softball fields and 3 soccer fields and 2 beach volleyball courts. There are also horseshoe pits and accessible playground equipment. In addition, it has parking for those wishing to utilize the waterfront boardwalk or the paved STATO multi use trail.
The park is also home to the Carter Antila Memorial Skatepark, one of the largest and most advanced skateparks in Northern Ontario.

I hiked along the beautiful boardwalk, then rollerbladed on the multiuse trail. Then I swam at the beach! I would have bought an ice cream, but it was cash only, and I had no cash.
