Went up the mountain on a water powered funicular. Fill upper funicular with 3000 L of water. As the funicular comes down the mountain the water spills out the bottom. By the time it makes it to the bottom it is almost out of water....More

After leaving the car in the car park next to the station, went up and down the lengthy funicular. Beats a long walk and windy roads, with fabulous views from the top. I like funiculars!

Yes, take the funicular to the top and de Santa Luzia! It is inexpensive, unique and fun. The ride departs every 15 minutes, near the train station.

Great train ride for not a lot of money. Three euros was the price I payed return. Worth every euro just to keep this service running. And great way to get to the Basilica.

A return ticket is just €3 and the trip just takes like 5 minutes so well worth it for the fantastic view and bautiful church.

This is the best solution if you don’t want to walk or take a taxi to reach Santa Luzia. It’s a little bit hot during summer, but that’s ok. It’s less than 10 minutes ride. Beautiful view of Viana!

This funicular is an easy way to get up to Santa luzia quick. The ride is a bit hot in summer but I think it is a cool experience for kids.

Expensive, but worth it) Actually it is a fantastic idea to give people an alternative to go to the top of the Santa Luzia!

Very long, very steep and pretty cheap. Family of 4 return for 9 Euros. May not have the old tram style of the Lisbon funiculars but much more practical and much cheaper. Lady at the bottom ticket office very helpful. Fabulous view at the top...More
