This is a busy Square on the river front, it is perhaps the most touristy part of Porto, so dont expect to much in the way of local culture. the area is surrounded by bars and restaurants.

The title says it all, crowded and loud. We found a very small restaurant, Terra Nova for a good lunch. Small plates. A beautiful view but definitely for tourists.

If you can tolerate crowds of tourists (well if you can’t then Portugal may be the wrong place for you these days) and if you can ignore touts for restaurants which seem to have identical uninteresting menus, this is the place for you. If you...More

Lots of restaurants here with nice views of the bridge as well as river life. The buildings have been nicely renovated. It is a very touristy area however.

A taxi to the airport cost us a fixed price of €25 which is pretty cheap. Relying on public transport when catching a flight is always a bit risky. Our concierge booked the taxi for us.
