A really good value tour which walks you through the public and private areas of this elegant theatre. The building was not only built to present theatrical productions but, in its hay day, as a place to be seen. There are seeping, plush carpeted, stairways...More

We did an escorted tour of the theatre. There was just the two of us. The guide spoke perfect English and took us everywhere: the stage , costume area , props and up above the stage. A wonderful tour well worth it.

Theatro Nacional Sao Joao is a nicely built structure located on Batalha Square. It was closed during our time of visit in the morning by early June.

Teatro Nacional Sao Joao is an ancient building in Batalha Square. Due to time constraint, we have not paid visit to the internal part of the theatre. It is worthwhile to tour around the area while visiting Porto.
