Very reasonable entry fee of €2.50 per person. The little hidden house is a delight and the church is beautiful and well worth a look. Guides were also extremely helpful.

Like all Carmelite churches, this is a very rich church, in particular the gold plated sculptures inside. So are the tiled pictures on the outside very interesting indeed.

The tile work is among the best in Portugal, so if you are a fan, this is a must. It's a lovely church in the middle of other sites.

We saw this church from across the square - the blue tile work on the side stood out. It is amazing that they have 100s or 1000s of tiles that are each unique to create that artful scene. The interior is not notable.
