We visited this museum housed in Funchal power station. It provides a fascinating history on the provision and harnessing of power in Madeira. On 2 levels with an interactive section on the first floor.

If you understood electricity, then this is of great interest but I found it a little more like a 5 watt bulb. Has a lot more potential. The entry fee is reasonable and ok to visit to get indoors for a while
