    Great scenery

    Its a great ride, but not for the people who don’t like heights its not cheap at 11 euros but its fun. Great views when you get to the top.

    Awesome views to mountains and the city. Right there next to the downtown. The lifts work beautifully and the prices are reasonable. Worth the money! Bang for the buck!

    Best views very fast

    Nice market.

    Very nice market. Get there early for fish on lower floor. Plenty of fruit and veg even if stall owners are a bit pushy.

    Great view over Funchal

    The cable car from Funchal promenade towards Monte is absolutely fabulous but unfortunately quite expensive.

    Worth the Ride.

    We went on a Friday between 11 and 1, if you can wait for a day when there are no cruise ships in much quicker!

    We walked back down it's very steep in parts but directly straight and you end up in the Old town in about 30 minutes walking- lovely residential areas to see and wonderful mango, avocado and palm trees to look at too.
