We went there twice during our stay and unfortunately, fog was a problem. So, don't expect a great view even it's sunny on land

“The most westerly point of mainland Europe”. Worth the drive to experience this rugged coastline- shows the true beauty of the Atlantic Ocean coastline of Portugal. The shoreline and cliffs are breathtaking, with pounding ocean waves that will leave you breathless, say the wild winds…...More

Wow. Msses of water as far as the eye can see. This is the most western point of the European continent. There is a light house of 165m jigh that dates from 1772. A must stop when you are in Sinta.

It is the most western point of Europe, the views are quite nice. Wanted to say I’d been there. Most all the lighthouses we’ve visited in Portugal (we’ve seen a lot) have a great view. Wave to your family and friends in New York!

There is a lighthouse on the westernmost point of Europe with cliffs overlooking the Atlantic. There are safety barriers but people still went beyond them and apparently there have been deaths so why would you do it? Nice scenery and there is the mandatory souvenir...More

You can reach Cascais by train from Lisbon. From here take the bus from the nearby Bus terminal to Cabo da Roca which is ca. 30 min. drive. Make sure you take a jacket as the weather is much more windy. We had a lot...More

Beautiful ocean views from the western most part of continental Europe. Great place to relax and take photos. The light house is quite nice. Located son top of a cliff along the ocean. The location reminds me of Peggys Cove Nova Scotia.

As stated in the subject line. Worth a quick stop on your way to Sintra. Cool lighthouse and nice view.
