Known for it "stew", Furnas has a great local cuisine where they cook their stew in the ground by the thermal hot springs. Wonderful dinner and much to see in the town.

Furnas is a very charming little old European style city. There is a quaint little 'park' type area where you can walk among the gardens and see a pretty mad-made waterfall.
