Visited Peters Cafe on a cruise ship visit. It was extremely use but we managed to squeeze through to buy a ticket at 2.50 Euro for the Scrimshaw museum. I thought it would just be carvings from whales but there were carvings from rhinoceros and...More

We stopped by twice, once for a drink and once for dinner. The meal was good but not exceptional. The restaurant is much smaller that you might thing it would be. Decor is comprised of flags from various sailing vessels. Scrimshaw exhibit was good.

You have to go through the restaurant to see the scrimshaw. Because there was a cruise ship in port, Peter's was a mob scene and we couldn't get in past all the crowded tables to see anything. A real disappointment.

We sat on the jetty across the road which overlooks the harbour and the island of Pico. Beautiful setting and good food.

Had two meals here, a lunch and a dinner. The lunch was more pleasant because it was quieter. Dinnertime was very busy and very slow. The food was average, nothing to go out of your way for, although you sort of haven't gone to Faial...More
