Beautiful winery, nice and hospitable staff
Jul 2021
One of those amazing Alentejo wineries - beautiful immaculate surroundings, their own lake, oak forest around you, good wines and hospitable crew taking care of you. You do not necessarily need to make a reservation to visit the place, just show up, go to the shop and ask questions. They will be more than glad to answer and show you around. Personally, I did not find the wines exceptional, but some people do. Ask them about the marble fermentation basins - something you only see in this part of the world where marble is so abundant. highly recommended.

Great wine and fair prices
Jul 2019 • Family
We wanted to buy wine and we tried at least 10 different with their story and the cepages in. We loved mostly the ones without oak but all are nice

Don’t stop here...
May 2019 • Couples
...if your brakes don’t work!! This is a must stop in Alentejo for the wonderful food, the service, the wine and, of course, the views. My rate isn’t a 5-ish, it’s a solid 5.

A Great Visit especially if combined with a meal
Feb 2019 • Couples
The winery is within the same complex as the restaurant. Enter through the wine shop at the end. Deanne was our tour guide taking us round the winery so we could see the wine making process including all the storage techniques. We then opted to sample 2 wines, which because there were four of us meant 8, you get a good 3 to 4 mouthfuls per sample if you wish to consume it all, and it was very interesting to compare the different wines. We were only charged 5 euros each for the tour and nothing for the tastings as we all bought bottles of wine. I would then strongly recommend that you follow this up with a long and leisurely lunch in the restaurant. Tour and tasting takes just over an hour.

Superb!
Oct 2018 • Friends
This place is just beautiful. Slightly old world, but all the better for that.
Service is impeccable-unobtrusive, charming and efficient.
Now the food:-
Starters of sautéed mushrooms and Roquefort together with tomato salad and grilled prawns were yummy.
Mains were veal chop, seafood, beef and grilled cod-all yummy.
We tried the lemon meringue tart and chocolate cake for dessert and again were very impressed!

It’s just a gorgeous restaurant in a magnificent setting.

Nice visit
Aug 2015 • Couples
We didn't make a full vineyard visit... Just tried the wines without any previous booking. Great terrace in the summer and very nice range of wines. Strongly recommend the petit Verdot!

A very nice restaurant with outstanding wines
Jan 2015 • Couples
We went a couple of times to this restaurant on a wine yard outside Estremoz. The dining room is well decorated and spacious.

They serve well prepared local cuisine. The speciality menu with seven outstanding wines of their own production is a really extraordinary experience. The wines are certainly of the best of that region, which counts the highest density of wine yards in Portugal.

The service is very friendly and attentive and there is no surprise with the bill.

Highlight of our trip
Oct 2015 • Friends
We basically stumbled upon this gem when we were exploring the area around Estremoz and it was easily the highlight of our stay here.

We wanted to have a wine tasting but hasn't made a reservation which was no problem. The lovely woman working showed us 5 different wines to try, ranging from 60 cents a glass to 3 euros/tasting and we opted for the red wine at 1 euro/tasting. FANTASTIC. She was friendly and knowledgable and gave us a huge pour of wine. We mentioned that the wine would go well with chocolate and she suggested the chocolate cake from the restaurant right next door, then had the chef bring over two slices of their car which blew my mind. Warm, chocolate molten cake with a mousse like consistency.
She then didn't charge us for the tastings when I bought a bottle (7 euros for the bottle) and the cake was so worth it at 5 euros/slice.

I would 100% recommend this place for wine tasting and hope to be back someday.
