A great cathedral, very accessible to tourists and some lovely things. The organist plays the Carillon on Saturdays plus he plays the smaller organ some days in the early afternoon for an hour.

This is a stunning cathedral. It is hard to imagine that this building was almost totally destroyed in the devastation of the Great War. A must see.

Yet another building within Ypres that rose from total devastation from the war, to a complete rebuild using original blueprints. Stands just behind the Cloth Hall/In Flanders Field museum

Hard to imagine that this building was totally rebuilt following its destruction during the war. You would think that its in its original state. Amazing.

Incredible to think that the cathedral had to be rebuilt after the Great War: it is a beautiful building, faithfully restored, and awe inspiring. Admission is free: you can make a donation (they suggest 20 cents) and it's worth every penny! Aside from the ecclesiastical...More

An amazing building from the outside, most impressive. The interior equally pleasing in such a vast space.

This Cathedral has a lot to see including both modern statues and old paintings. There is also a phtograph above the entrance showing the state it was in after WW1.

Gothic architecture at its finest. A huge cathedral that fills the skyline. Very impressive and atmospheric inside. We'll worth a trip and light a candle.

The cathedral is quite a sight, amazing how it has been rebuilt following the destruction of WW1. My Grandfather had been billeted here so quite a sentimental visit.
