with its foundations dating back to the13th century, this hospital goes back to the era of other famous European hospitals. The buildings you see now are mostly 17th century, and the chapel is wortha visit, usually open on Sundays.

One could stay the whole day in this Church praying, or worshiping the masterpieces of Van Dijk , or admire the stained glass windows, or learn Flemish history with the help of the modern library in the chapel where 51 Flemish dukes are buried.

hospital on the Buda-island; some buildings have a (little) historical value - the church however is very interesting - wooden walls - wooden statues - inside baroque style - the church is not always open
