I was walking through the town with a few friends of mine and we saw some intimidating messages written all over the neighbourhood. We were curious what was it all about, and then we stumbled upon this museum. It was free for people under the...More

This is not your usual museum or visitors centre as modern works of art/ceramics/glass etc, are shown next to antiques. I think some of the exhibits have been moved to The Fine Arts museum up by St Pieters Station. It was worth a visit solely...More

At the time we have been there, the half of the museum was closed for renovation. Still what we could see was a nice collection of modern design (which can be loved or hated). Could spend an hour there. The service was professional and really...More

It was a long day so perhaps that partially explains. There were some items that I found interesting but overall I found the building more exciting than anything else.

Wonderful Museum in a very stylish building. Students admission just 2 EUR. Together with my friend we visited the exhibition "Hello robot". Interesting and fun even though there were some things that I miss in regards to robots it was fun!

Loved this art and design museum. An eclectic array of modern and antique pieces. ,ranging from furniture to jewellery. Many items I would have liked to have taken with me, especially the table made of colourful hard back books.

Visited this museum to see the Hello, Robot exhibition and was thoroughly impressed. They have some really cool stuff including some real robots that move. I would definitely return here again. Particularly impressed by the video of the old man with his smart cane etc....More

My teen daughters and I visited the Design Museum in Gent to see the Hello, Robot exhibit. It's really excellent for all ages. The focus on robots spans from early popular culture and science fiction representations in television, film, and literature to cutting edge wearable...More

The Design museum Gent is okay but not so exciting. We paid only 2€ pp due to being below 26 thus the loss was not huge. But normal price of 12€ pp is too high for what they offer. Some interesting stuff about robotics and...More

This didn't appear to be about design, it appeared to have a few (very few) nicely designed items around but with no thread, purpose, history, joined up thinking , education. Nothing in fact. There was a temporary exhibition about robots which was OKish but I...More
