The steady climb up the approach road gives increasingly fab views of town and Meuse valley. (There is an hourly bus (2E) from the town centre). Interesting herb garden half way up, and jewellery, perfumier and bakery a bit further up still. All in all...More

Many spots with free parking, and you can wander all over the huge site for free, only the museum and tunnels are charged. The fortifications go on forever, I spent 2 hours trying to see them all

The time we went, unfortunately the tunnels were closed so we missed an important part of the visit, anyway, the place is nice for a walk and even better if you follow the road down the hill into the river.

Super citadel. Three was up to the top: car/ walking or 2 route for walking (one with steps). Pick the shaded side if you walk! Small train at the top for touring. Cafes and ice cream at the top. Pity that no English is available...More

yes you can walk up there with your dogs it is a very step climb there is a bar near the top and they have there own dog
