Nice museum in the European Parliament complex. It is free and they provide headphones that describe the exhibits in detail. I found the WWII exhibit very moving and haunting.

Happened upon this lovely museum by chance and easily spent 3 hours walking through. Really informative and interesting exhibits. One particular highlight was the interactive table with the origins of various European foods. Well worth a visit.More

I visited this museum twice in the last couple of months. Both times I had the same impression: what could be a very interesting and informative experience, is spoilt by the fact that there are way too many people working there and their main task...More

You'll need a good few hours to visit this museum that covers history throughout Europe from many angles. I was particularly interested in the story of the rise, fall and rise again of democracy. There are plenty of artefacts, still and moving images which are...More

Really enjoyed my visit to this free museum. Informative and well presented exhibits. I loved the easy to use tablet guide. Left feeling I knew much more about the past, the present, and the challenges of the future. Everyone should go.More

The building used to be a dental clinic for children. The entrance room (the waiting room) is decorated with frescoes. The presentation of history is truly European and not based on the perception of the national states.More

You do really need the tablet as there are no real signs/printed descriptions. As far as I remember, the tablet had a normal headphone socket so yes, you could connect ordinary earphones.
