We love Bruges at Christmas, the markets are ok but we tried to buy a couple of bits of cheese from the stall in the main square.
Small slice of truffle Brie and small slice black garlic manchego, probably would have cost £10 absolute maximum at home from a posh deli…….they tried to charge us €47!!!!!
Handing the card machine over, lucky I checked.
They don’t side serve any trade, disgraceful whoever runs the market needs to step in.

The Christmas market itself is ok. Be careful though as the stalls tend to try and scam me you out of your money and overcharge. We brought some nougat which ended up being half the weight it should have been, so they charged us double the price it should have been and It is already well overpriced anyway, so they ripped us off.

Visited Brussels from 28th Dec. - 30th Dec. and what a wonderful experience it was. Brussels is one of the only cities that still have their Christmas markets on after Christmas Day (not sure if that’s still the case). So Christmassy, lots of different market stalls, places to drink beer and mulled wine and plenty of food markets. All the markets were free to go to and nothing was too overpriced either, the mulled wine was only €3!

I guess it's the best Christmas market in Europe! Everything was amazing about it. It really makes you feel the Christmas spirit! The lights, the music, the shows, etc. All displays and yummy food and drinks were satisfying!

The city is beautiful, with a light show in the square, but the Christmas market itself wasn't as good as Cologne or Strasbourg. If you're looking for a shopping trip, you should probably choose a different market.

The Christmas market is spread over a large area connected by lots of cobblestones streets, so good footwear a must.
Lots of food cabins and the plenty selling an away of goods from decorations to scarves and toys. It’s hard to pin down one area so he prepared to walk.
The main square has beautiful lit up buildings, huge Christmas tree and nativity scene. There is no Christmas in the main square, as it surrounds the area.

The musical light show that was free and displayed in main Palace Square was something never seen before and something you could continue to watch over and over again, with catchy, spell binding music.
The market stalls were spread out over various locations, meaning no site was to crowded and space for everyone.
Old fashion carasoules around as well as well as having the big wheel relocated from the Palace of Justices to the main centre.
Lots of Belgium food on offer as well as crafts and decorations. Price range for any budget.
Sweet stall at one area even let you try some unknown products before you brought as well. Perfume stall sold various size bottles, again for any price range and made from natural ingredients.
