If you need some time to get your head free, walk these few meters and you will. Think about the architectural thought behind it and at the end stop nearby a café or bar and hang out!

Take a walk on the Dijlepad. There are several entrances and exits. It is a walkway that floats on the river and is great for seeing the city and the refurbishment of houses and warehouses along the River Dijle. Start at the old brewery and...More

Mechelen has a wonderful medieval centre with some pleasant canal walks + beautiful bridge vistas. Certainly worth a short diversion if you are staying or working in the town.

A wooden path leads you along the river Dijle. It gives another view on the city. A quiet place to walk along.

An easy walk on boards, down the river. Interesting to see the stone and brick work, I was amazed at how old some of the footings appeared. Good to walk on a sunny day.
