This is a beautiful park not far from the Hague city centre (about 45 minutes walk or about 15 by tram). It has an area for pic-nic and a playground for children, a few lakes and a beautiful rosarium garden, very quiet and relaxing.
The rosarium is large and beautiful (and I loved how well-labeled everything is!) but the roses are about done by now. Right across the parking lot is a great little kids' park. Definitely worth a bit of time to let the kids run around!
As of 1926 this park bears the name of a city official (Mister Westbroek). There are about twenty Thousand rose bushes in the rosarium. No paths of gravel, bricks of tarmac: you just walk over the grass. Wonderful!
This park is very pleasant for walking and enjoying the fresh air. It's very close to the Crowne Plaza Hotel and also to get a coffee or Cold drink the from the Shell garage Starbucks.
