When you live very close to some attractions/destinations, the tendency is you put off visiting knowing that they are always there. The first time I visited Clingendael estate was in 2004. It was peaceful and beautiful but I failed to go back again after that,...More

Finally, after all these years a visit to the famous Japanese garden. In three word: it was beautiful. Very busy, at times. But definitely worth a visit. If you need to go the toilet: there is one situated at the entrance at the Wassenaarseweg.

Well kept Japanese garden in the big clingendael park. Lovely atmosphere although not quite as big as I had anticipated. And there are no benches to rest and enjoy.
