This was an extremely interesting few hours and we could have happily stayed all day had we not wanted some daylight and fresh air after 5+ hours. Some other reviewers have been a little sniffy about the quality of the collection here. OK, it's nowhere...More

This museum comes up as a good pick for families, but I'm not sure why. There's really nothing children can touch or interact with. They did, however, have a legos and coloring station in the lobby, which was very nicely set up. For adults, the...More

The museum is a must see if you are interested in Egyptian, Roman and Greek artifacts. It is very big and the auditor is helpful. Nice light facility

This is an amazing space, unexpectedly large given the size of the entrance. The Greek exhibits were brilliant - an outstanding collection - but the descriptions were limited. The restaurant was good, but the black looming roof for the central space was a bit oppressive.

A small, but interesting collection of Egyptian artefacts. Although the most impressive thing in the museum is their collection of Greek vases. Purchased from Lucien Bonaparte in the early 19th century, it is a good collection of both red and black vases. Worth the visit,...More

Maybe I have become jaded to this sort of museum, but the National Museum of Antiquities didn't really wow me. Don't get me wrong, it has a decent collection of ancient artifacts, and even some mummies, which I admit were pretty cool, but all in...More

To be honest I was a bit underwhelmed with this museum and was glad we had got in free during the national free monuments weekend. There were some good displays - I liked the Egyptian ones best - but it's ultra modern layout just ended...More

This museum is a hidden gem. The Egyptian collection is noteworthy and they have one of the small Aswan temples in the main hall; there is a free audio guide in English that is very informative; the signs in front of each artefact are only...More

This is a very interesting museum although security staff can be rude. This was our second visit on a rainy day and we particularly enjoyed the Egyptian artifacts.

This is a very interesting museum. Large selection of Egyptian artifacts. Spaced out nicely to walk around and enjoy. It was good to stop in while it was raining. There is a place to store you coat and umbrellas.

Thanks for your answer. We did visit a number of fabulous museums when we were in Amsterdam and Leiden this past year, not to speak of The Concertgebouw where we were able to appreciate the terrific acoustics.
