Music meet machine! Speelklok is quite the experience. Music evolution has definitely come a long way but it’s hard not to marvel at the creativity and genius minds that crafted these antique automated musical machines.

Great experience to visit the museum with a guided tour (guide was pleasantly enthusiastic and entertaining as well). It will definitely bring back some nostalgic memories when you hear these amazing instruments play and not to forget the robots they have! Definitely worth a visit!

One of the main reasons I chose to visit the Netherlands was because of Martin Molin (of Wintergatan) and his terrific YouTube vlogs. When I visited Utrecht and Speelklok to see the Marble Machine I was very disappointed to find it had been shipped back...More

The automated musical instruments must have involved a lot of innovative engineering at the time, showing the ingenuity of the people before the electronic age. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit.

This museum has an excellent collection of self-playing instruments (pianos, pipe organs and even violins) and the best part was that many of the instruments were played on the tour. Some of these were over 200 years old and played beautiful tunes. Very well laid...More
