If you happen to find yourself near Utrecht and you have train mad kids, Spoorwegmuseum is a must. Truly magical with the story that goes in to the history. Relatively easy to get to once you get to Central station as there is plenty advice....More

The place have some nice activities. not extrem or something like that. there is also the history of the rail in Netherlands it was nice to.

Well maintained, lovely museum. Perfect for families with younger children, but still interesting for adult tourists/teenagers interested in history and/or engineering. We had a great day here, but we love trains. Good place for kids. Lots of train stuff, a jumble with not much organization and poor lighting in places. But whimsical and fun.

As above children under 4 yrs go free, except for some special rides. You can check out their website in English also.

(and of corse you can take a 15/20min walk thru the city center of utrecht, signs to directing the museum can be found everywhere)
