Loved the opportunity to see a windmill in operation. You can go upstairs (very steep) and head out on the platform that surrounds the structure. This is an excellent way to feel and hear the power of the air being moved by the windmill arms....More

You can go through the stairs and go to the upper deck. I didn't find too much difference on the view from other sides

Nice Windmill to visit, gives a good view of how they work. Good explanation of how they make paint. Nice presentation from the owner who loves his job.

Very nice molentje. Well worth going in and sniffing around. Full of tourists of course but still worth going into.

We took a short trip here from Amsterdam. It is only about a 15 minute train ride from Amsterdam Central and then about a 15 minute walk. The windmills are really charming and the buildings are very quaint. However, it was way too crowded with...More

One of the highlights of a visit to the village of Zaanse Schans is the sight of the multiple windmills. This is one of them and, for a fee, you can go inside and to the top. If you don’t want to do that, simply...More
