After walking up and down the street searching for this museum, we opted for the Van Loon Museum on the other side of the canal. It was interesting, low key and worth a visit.

Beautiful rooms, and was interesting to see into the lives of the wealthy of Amsterdam. Was really quiet but glad it was so, as was fantastic experience.

Being from Amsterdam I visit museums regularly, for me this is the best one. If you enter the old building you get a personal guide for free, this person knows everything about the building in the most famous and expensive street of Amsterdam, but also...More

Both geographically and in quality this is the middle canal house, between the most luxurious and oldest Van Loon museum and the most recent style of the Willet-Holthuysen house. Besides the style rooms, there is/was a nice exhibition about rich people's passtimes.

I have seen better, also in Amsterdam, but I would say it's worth half an hour. Staff is very helpful.

It's always nice for me to satisfy my curiosity of what's behind those closed doors. With my Museumkaart admission was included. It's a lovely furnished mansion. They allow you to wander at your own pace. Extremely friendly staff. Glad we went.

3 or 4 rooms are restored in this 1700th century canal home. Beautiful garden. I would go if you have museum card or if you go for a concert Sunday. Other than that it is pretty small for an entrance fee.

Free with Museumkaart or iamsterdam card. We stopped here and at the Van Loon house across the street and found them both worth a quick look. You enter through the coach house, walk through the wonderful garden and into the main house. Though completed in...More

Only the coach house and the lower floor of the house are open. The collection of art is nowhere near as large compared to Museum van Loon. Limited info available for the objects and history. Although, because there are even fewer visitors than Museum van...More

Although I enjoyed this canal house for what it is, it does not compare all that well to the others I visited. The house changed ownership a number of times over the centuries and consequently the rooms and their contents do not contain a unity...More
