It was the first. Worth a visit for that reason alone. Experience where the Amsterdam coffee shops got started. Do it for the history.

There are plenty of coffee shops in Amsterdam by the canal. Bulldog is the best Coffeshop. You can find every strain as well as the wide spread of coffees and drinks.

Due to its central location this place was always packed and busy. Great for getting some green and then finding a nice spot elsewhere on the canal to smoke.

Inside The Bulldog looks quite comfortable, it has a kind of traditional pub feel. We were there to try some of their space cake, but I couldn't see any menus about, so went to ask at the counter. The woman who served us was actually...More

All of my friends told me to go to Bulldog. It is very much hyped. They have good strains. Went there and tried some of their indicas. But didn't stay long because it was crowded. But had fun over there though!

All what i can say that it is the best place to stay in Amsterdam, mainly because it is in the middle of everything with everything in and around. Totally different experience in my life, and feeling safe like never ever before. Rooms are designed...More

This place is a little too loud, very crowded and kind of dull. I personally don’t understand what is all the fuss about... everyone recommended it but I wouldn’t.

Me and my friend came for our first time in coffee shops as we knew it was a large chain company. The items were over priced and we had a joint and a space cake on our first night and they barely had any effect...More

Suprisingly bad service! We tried for 20 minutes to get the attention of a waitress to order meal and drinks. She noticed us but ignored and kept dealing with bills only. Finally we walked out and told the bar tenders but they were indifferent too....More

It’s worth it! Space cake in Bulldog is actually ‘muffin-shaped’. I’d suggest to share one in two if you’re not used to it. The effect is not as immediate as what you get after smoking but it comes while digesting, so it... More
