I had a gin & tonic here one evening, and enjoyed my visit very much. The bar staff were very friendly and attentive, and my G&T was truly excellent, one of the best I've ever had. I did learn, though, that the Dutch make G&T's...More

We showed up and rang the bell. They were very polite but basically told us they were full and suggested trying again in an hour. So we had a whiskey at another bar nearby and came back. They were happy to see us when we...More

Walking past this rather decent place you wouldn’t notice what it hides behind its black curtains. We rang the doorbell and were welcomed by a very nice and mysterious servant who told us to come in. We absolutely had no idea what would await us:...More

You wouldn't notice it walking past, it plays on the exclusive/'members club' vibe - you need to know where it is and ring a doorbell to be let in. Once inside the interior is beautiful and cosy, feels like sitting in an old hunting lodge....More

Had a few drinks, lovely atmosphere and friendly staff. You won't be short on what to choose to drink.

On the outside you can hardly see it is a bar, but that is part of the concept. You have to wait to get in and that can take a while because there is limited seating. But it is worth the wait. Once u get...More

After spending several years rolling my eyes around the hipster 'havens' of Shoreditch I was looking forward to moving to Amsterdam and getting far away from the calling cards of the 'trendy bar'. The first thing you need to know about Bar Oldenhof is that...More

Drinks are nice but the door staff is so rude it takes away the experience. You want a luxury place go to the Connaught in London. This place is just pretentious for no reason. Banks on the fact that Amsterdam is mainly a beer city,...More

Elegant place in a very nice street in the Jordaan. Expect an old-fashioned bar which is EXTREMELY EXPENSIVE but quite worth it, if you're into cocktails. The British female bartender was very nice and helpful.

I went to all the top craft cocktail bars in Amsterdam. Bar Oldenhof was my number one by far. The mojito they make is better than any that I had in Cuba. Also had a few scotch drinks and rum drinks. I would go here...More

One of Amsterdam’s most preferred outdoor markets and
some of the city’s favorite watering holes are but two
of the many reasons to save ample time for a stroll
through this especially convivial warren of narrow
streets with its unfair share of quirky shops and
quality galleries. Historically a haven for the
working class and emigrants, these days the Jordaan is
better known as an enclave for artists and designers.
